The 1st black MLB Hall of Famer

In 1962 Jackie Robinson changed the face of Major league baseball forever by becoming the first African-American player to be inducted into the hall of Fame. Robinson was born in Cairo, Georgia in 1919 to a family of sharecroppers. They were the only black family on their block, and the prejudice they encountered only strengthened their bond. In 1947, Brooklyn Dodgers president Branch Rickey approached Jackie about joining the Brooklyn Dodgers. The Major Leagues had not had an African-American player since 1889, when baseball became segregated. When Jackie first donned a Brooklyn Dodger uniform, he pioneered the integration of professional athletics in America. At the end of Robinson's rookie season with the Brooklyn Dodgers, he had become National League Rookie of the Year with 12 homers, a league-leading 29 steals, and a .297 average.

In 1949, he was selected as the NL's Most Valuable player of the Year and also won the batting title with a .342 average that same year. As a result of his great success, Jackie was eventually inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962. Jackie Robinson's life and legacy will be remembered as one of the most important in American history.

1st Superbowl Game

In 1967 the first ever Superbowl was held. the match was set between the Green bay Packers and the Kansas city Chiefs. The team that came out on top fortunately was the Packers. The game had well over 60 million viewers.

The final score of the game was 35-10(Packers). The players on the winning team got 15,000 dollars and the losers received 7,500 dollars.

Star Trek Bloopers (Original)

This is to funny this is the original star trek from 1966. I happened to come across this just roaming around on youtube. I did a random search and this popped up.

I think its just amazing how they still have things like this around. i got a laugh or two out of this so i think its pretty awesome. Wait until it hits the three minute mark to really laugh.

Cars

The car trends were also exciting in the sixties besides the the fashion. I would say more people got into cars after the appearance of them. I personally loved the look of them.

I like to still see them around. One i dream of owning a great old school car. I think im getting sleepy now folks nitey.

60's Style

The style of the 60's to me was so hip. I mean look at this people you can't say they don't influence you. I try to come close with there fashion statements but never get on the right track.

Many people who are into fashion would say the sixties had it all. For example if i go into my grandmothers closet to see if it's something i like and i never come out empty handed. i'm glad to see that this trend still exist.
